Hey everyone! I just got my first paid content writing client after finishing Module 3 of the beginner course and I wanted to share what actually worked for me.
I did NOT use any freelance platform like Upwork. Instead I reached out directly to 12 small businesses in my city whose websites I found had thin, badly written "About Us" pages. I rewrote one of them for free and sent it to them as a cold email sample.
3 of the 12 replied. One offered ₹3,000 for a full website rewrite. That was 2 weeks ago - I've now done 3 projects for them. The key learning from Sneha's Module 3 really was this: your first client doesn't come from platforms, they come from showing up with specific, personalised value.
This is gold. The cold email approach is underrated. I've been sitting on Upwork for weeks with zero responses. Going to try this tomorrow.
